Her father, she said, gathered wheelchairs from around Northern California and brought them to a studio with her able-bodied dance team. But for a long time after the accident, Ms. Hill was in denial about her injury. Becoming a person with a disability, and understanding herself as such, radicalized Ms. Hill, she said. They’re armed with fashion knowledge only the young, fun and determined can possess and seek out the best streetwear they can find.
